Be content
I have a small house with my two handsome boys. We are far from poor or needy and I am embarrassed to say I still find myself unsatisfied at times. Knock down a wall here, enlarge a space there, more closets, bigger kitchen. I could go on and on and sometimes I do. Like I said its embarrassing. Lately I have been stopping these thoughts, this need to keep up, with one small phrase, the average person in the World lives on less than $2.50 per day. Poverty looms and I see it around me in everyday life. I know many children that live a very hard life that don't even notice their poverty and I am thinking about the size of my closets. I am finding contentment is a discipline and I am working on it. My mind is less consumed with me when I think of others.

It's Official!!! Leslie and I are officially licensed foster/adoption parents. We have loved working with Arrow Child and Family Ministries. It has been a challenging process to get this far but we are excited to have cleared this hurdle. I think the part that is ahead of us could be more challenging. Waiting.....
Because we are wanting to adopt a child that is younger than Boston, we have been told that this could take a while. We have also been told that it could happen very quickly. We have already experienced a small taste of what this roller-coaster will be like but hold tight to the belief that God has our child out there and they will come live with us in His time. Until then, we appreciate all the encouragement and support from our friends and family. Thanks!!! -BL&B

Alphabet Magnets out of tree parts!
Alphabet magnets from tree parts! I find a lot of useful things while running in my neighborhood! I found these branches and my husband was kind enough to bring use his saw and cut them up for me. I wanted a different alphabet for Boston's room and he can play with them on the washer and dryer as well!
before my wonderful husband cut them all up!
These photos are all before I attached the magnets because I did that after dark. I will have to update with them in place!
